What are SSL certificates?

SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) is a cryptographic protocol that provides secure communication online.  An SSL certificate is an electronic doument that enables a website to communicate securely with customers and users.  An SSL certificate is used to identify the person using it and to encrypt sensitive data, such as credit card details or other personal information.

Without an SSL certificate, any data sent to a website is at risk of being intercepted and viewed by other individuals.  Please visit to see the range of SSL certificates we offer.
